Larissa Silva is a 13-year-old girl who lives in Natal, the beautiful capital of the state of Rio Grande do Norte on the northeastern coast of Brazil. She is very shy and has few friends. During her school vacation in January, she goes with her family to Pirangi, a beach not far to the south.
There she meets a girl named Tereza and they become friends.
Larissa has a special interest in unusual facts. Before the summer is over Larissa, Tereza and Larissa’s best friend from school get together to do an exciting project which brings about surprising results. In the process, Larissa learns important lessons about friendship and her life changes.
